Tennis bracelet size guide: how to find the right fit
Measure your wrist, then add about three quarters of an inch. A 6 inch wrist is comfortable in a 6.5 to 7 inch tennis bracelet. The bracelet should move on the wrist without sliding over the hand.
How to measure your wrist for a tennis bracelet
- Wrap a flexible tape measure around your wrist, just below the wrist bone, where the bracelet will actually sit.
- Keep it comfortably close to the skin rather than tight.
- Note the measurement, then add for fit.
No tape measure? Use a strip of paper, mark where it overlaps, and lay it flat against a ruler.

How should a tennis bracelet fit?
It should rotate freely around the wrist and settle with the clasp underneath. You should be able to slide a finger between the bracelet and your skin. It should not pass over the widest part of your hand when your fingers are together. That is the test for too loose.
Carat weight changes how the fit feels. A lighter bracelet sits fluidly and follows the wrist. A heavier one at 10 carats has more mass, sits with more authority, and tends to feel better with slightly more room.
Which wrist should you measure?
The one you will wear it on. Most people's wrists differ slightly, and the difference is enough to matter at this precision. If you wear a watch on that wrist, or stack bracelets, measure with them on.
If you are between sizes
Order the larger one. A bracelet slightly too loose reads as elegant; slightly too tight reads as uncomfortable, and it is the one you leave in the drawer.
